The PTA is an extremely committed and hard-working group of parents whose aim to support our school and our students here at Our Lady of the Assumption School. They organise various fundraising events throughout the year and also organise fun, family orientated school events for everyone to enjoy!
They meet on the first Monday of every month at 7pm in the staffroom and are always looking for new members to join their team … everyone is very welcome 🙂
Alternatively, they would welcome anyone who would like to become a “Friend of the P.T.A.” – this is where parents are called on to help with projects or fundraising from time to time, rather than being a member of this wonderful committee.
The P.T.A. also are responsible for running the OLA Second Hand Uniform Sale twice a year, in the first and third terms. Visit the uniform page for links to information about current stock.
The P.T.A. would like to continue to thank our wonderful school community for their support in fundraising for the school. With our new buildings being constructed this year, our planned improvements to the playground are on hold until this is finished! HOWEVER, we are often called upon to provide various resources and opportunities for our students … bus transport is a huge cost and one which is regularly paid for by the P.T.A. (for example).
